Judicial auctions by court
In real-estate enforcement proceedings the competent court (tribunale) is the court of the place where the property is located; in insolvency proceedings it is the court handling the proceeding, and the property may be located elsewhere. Choose your court to see the auctions in progress, prices, property types and upcoming sales.
The courts are grouped by region; next to each one is the number of active auctions. Every listing names its court; if you don't know which one applies, start with a search by municipality. Go to search by town
The list of courts is not available right now: try again later or use the auction search.
Some courts are based in a municipality other than the provincial capital, and a province can have more than one court. The entries marked “ex Tribunale di…” (former court of…) group the proceedings of courts abolished by the 2012 reform of the judicial map (riforma della geografia giudiziaria), which passed to the court listed first. The list follows the official name shown on the Public Sales Portal (Portale delle Vendite Pubbliche).
Frequently asked questions
- How do I know which court handles the auction of a property?
- It is shown in every listing, together with the procedure number. In real-estate enforcement proceedings the competent court (tribunale) is the court of the place where the property is located; in insolvency proceedings it is the court handling the proceeding, and the property may be located elsewhere.
- Are a court's auctions all in the same city?
- No. In real estate enforcement proceedings, each court sells the properties in the municipalities of its district, which can number in the dozens; in insolvency proceedings the property may also be in another province.
- Do courts publish auctions on different websites?
- All sales must be published on the Public Sales Portal (Portale delle Vendite Pubbliche). For properties, the notice of sale (avviso), the court order (ordinanza) and the appraisal report (perizia) must also be published on websites listed in the Ministry of Justice register, at least 45 days before the deadline for offers: this is required by art. 490, comma 2, c.p.c. (Italian Code of Civil Procedure). ImmobilScan takes its data from the official portal.
